Founder/CEO
The founder and CEO of You have a Purpose Prep LLC.. since 2014 is a 2018 graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program and Tory Burch Cohort 6 class of 2019. Ms.Omar is a motivational speaker, teacher and developer of the SAT and ACT Test Prep Program with over 30 Workshops in college readiness. Ms. Omar was Privileged to share this program with more than a thousand students within 10 NYC public schools..
Ms. Omar background includes Experienced financial aid counselor at Nyack College serving students from 2008-2014.
Prior to relocating to New York in 2007, she was the founder and CEO of a nonprofit in Chicago, “The Dream Team Productions of Chicago Inc.” for six years providing college readiness, mentoring and performing arts to underprivileged youth in Chicago, Illinois since 2002.
Ms. Omar holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration/Management and a Paralegal degree in Business law from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She received her Bachelors of Science in criminal justice at Chicago State University. She worked in the field of social services with children since 1997 -2000 and has many accomplishments as a mentor to youth. In 1998 she worked as a child advocate providing services to families and children at risk for foster care placement. In 2000-2002 she was employed at the Cook County Public Guardian office as a paralegal working with various attorneys advocating for children’s rights.
Mission/ Vision
Mission: To provide college readiness classes with SAT/ACT test preparation to help student's develop the skills and motivation necessary to be equipped for success in a higher education institution beyond high school to reach their education goals to achieve their purpose in life.
Vision: To see all students develop the essential components necessary to excel on standardized college entrance exams to be accepted into top ranked colleges and universities and completing their Bachelor’s degree and beyond.
